Rich and curious combination of flavors, with the sweetness of the bell pepper polished by the savory, slightly bitter accents of the pepper, and a soft licorice trace that adds dimension and warmth. However, the generally effect was somewhat muted, and the woody undertones lingered, making it a bit too decadent and overpowering for my taste. Still, it was a pleasant surprise to find that the wine improved with age, significantly on the second day, when the nuances had mellowed and the complexity had emerged.
