Torre de Oña Martelo Reserva is praised for its rich, full-bodied character with a harmonious blend of fruit and oak. Notable flavors include cherry, raspberry, vanilla, and subtle leather. While some appreciate its polished, modern style, others find it strays from traditional Rioja. The wine's smooth tannins and lingering finish are consistently highlighted, making it a versatile choice for various dishes.
Torre de Oña Martelo Reserva is an exceptional wine that showcases the best qualities of the Rioja region in Spain. This wine has been aged for two years in oak barrels. On the nose, Torre de Oña Martelo Reserva offers a complex bouquet of ripe red fruits, such as cherries and plums, intertwined with elegant notes of vanilla, forest floor, and spices. The oak aging is evident but well-integrated, adding layers of complexity to the aroma profile. The palate is equally impressive, with a harmonious balance between fruit, oak, and acidity. The wine displays a medium to full body, with velvety tannins that provide structure and a long, lingering finish. Flavors of red berries, blackcurrants, and hints of cedar and leather unfold on the palate, creating a multi-dimensional tasting experience. Torre de Oña Martelo Reserva is a wine that can be enjoyed now, but it also has great aging potential. It pairs wonderfully with grilled meats, roasted lamb, or aged cheeses. The wine's elegance and depth make it a perfect choice for special occasions or for those who appreciate the artistry of a well-crafted Rioja Reserva.
