This wine's unremarkable feel is overshadowed by an overpowering lychee scent, which dominates the profile with a jarring combination of pear, cantaloupe, and honey. whereas it's not a catastrophic experience, it's not especially memorable either. Overall, it's a decent but unenthusiastic offering, and I wouldn't recommend it again.

What the web is saying

The Infamous Goose Sauvignon Blanc is praised for its bright citrus flavors, including grapefruit and lime, and a refreshing, crisp finish. Many enjoy its balance of tropical and grassy notes, while some find it overly acidic or lacking depth. The wine pairs well with seafood and summer dishes, offering a vibrant and lively experience. However, a few reviews mention an overpowering lychee scent in some vintages.

Voss Experts3.8

The Infamous Goose Sauvignon Blanc is a delightful white wine from New Zealand. It is known for its vibrant and refreshing character, making it a popular choice among Sauvignon Blanc enthusiasts. On the nose, this wine offers intense aromas of tropical fruits such as passionfruit, pineapple, and guava, along with hints of citrus and fresh herbs. The palate is crisp and lively, with flavors that mirror the aromas, accompanied by a zesty acidity. The finish is long and lingering, leaving a pleasant sensation on the palate. Overall, The Infamous Goose Sauvignon Blanc is a well-balanced and enjoyable wine that pairs wonderfully with seafood dishes, salads, or simply as an aperitif.
