TerraNoble CA2 Costa Carmenère is praised for its rich, full-bodied character with deep fruit flavors, chocolate, and spice notes. Many reviewers appreciate its smooth texture and well-balanced tannins, while some find it slightly assertive. The wine's complexity and lingering finish make it a favorite for pairing with red meats and strong cheeses. Its deep ruby color and aromas of black fruit and forest floor are consistently highlighted.
The nose is treated to an array of aromas including ripe blackberries, plums, and a distinctive note of black pepper, a hallmark of the Carmenère grape. Additionally, subtle hints of dark chocolate and a touch of flinty oak add complexity to the bouquet. On the palate, the wine is full-bodied and rich, yet remarkably smooth. Flavors of dark fruit are perfectly complemented by nuances of spice, coffee, and a hint of vanilla from the oak aging. The coastal influence is evident in the wine's refreshing acidity and elegant minerality, which provide a counterbalance to its lush fruitiness and lead to a long, satisfying finish.
