Aged to perfection in oak, this Chianti Classico is a masterclass in balance and restraint. The oak adds depth and complexity, and yet the 24 months in barrique and 12 months in bottle contribute to a rich, full-bodied texture. The result is a wine that is both elegant and refined, with a understated wisp of earthy undertones.

The wine's appearance is a clear medium purple hue, with a pronounced aroma that combines red fruit, dried meat, and a accent of pepper.

Voss Experts4.3

The Tenuta Perano Rialzi Chianti Classico Gran Selezione is an exceptional wine that showcases the best of Chianti Classico. On the nose, it offers an enticing bouquet of ripe red fruits, such as cherries and plums, accompanied by hints of spice and floral notes. On the palate, the Tenuta Perano Rialzi Chianti Classico Gran Selezione delivers a harmonious and well-structured experience. The tannins are firm yet refined, providing a solid backbone to the wine. The flavors of red fruits persist, with additional layers of complexity brought by notes of forest floor, leather, and earthy undertones. This wine is a perfect representation of the Gran Selezione category, which is the highest quality tier within the Chianti Classico classification. It is made exclusively from estate-grown Sangiovese grapes, carefully selected to express the unique terroir of the Tenuta Perano vineyards. The Tenuta Perano Rialzi Chianti Classico Gran Selezione is a wine that can be enjoyed now, but it also has great aging potential. It will continue to evolve and develop in the bottle, revealing even more complexity and depth over time.
