Tenuta L'Impostino Viandante Sangiovese Riserva 2017

Aged in French oak, full bodied and full-bodied, with a long-lasting finish, Montecucco DOC 2009 is a well-crafted Sangiovese wine.

Rich, full-bodied red wine with a deep, silky feel and a mild violet hue. The nose is dominated by intense fruit aromas, containing plum, maraschino cherry, and creme de cassis, with a suggestion of oak. Secondary notes of licorice wheel candy, turmeric, and sweet spices add nuance and warmth. On the palate, the wine is noted for by medium brightness and firm tannins that sizzle through the mouth. The barrel aging process has a profound effect, reducing acidity by 100% Sangiovese and rounding out the tannins. The tail is long and satisfying, with notes of blueberry and black currant emerging as the wine lingers.

Voluptuous and velvety, with a deep, opaque red hue that's both inviting and mysterious. The aroma is a masterful blend of floral and jam notes, with cedar and deep fruit hints that add strength and complexity. The style is sleek and modern, with a plush mouthfeel that coats the texture and a satisfying length that lingers. meanwhile it may not be a notably sophisticated wine, it's a well-crafted, enjoyable option that's sure to please.
