The 2021 Starmont Pinot Noir presents a vibrant garnet hue, immediately inviting with its bouquet of ripe cherry, wild strawberry, and subtle forest floor nuances. On the palate, it unfolds with a silky texture, showcasing a harmonious interplay of red berry compote and delicate spice, underscored by fine-grained tannins and a refreshing acidity that speaks to its cool-climate origins. The finish is elegantly prolonged, with whispers of clove and a hint of minerality, positioning this wine as a quintessential expression of California Pinot Noir, balancing New World fruit exuberance with Old World finesse.

Starmont Pinot Noir is praised for its rich cherry and strawberry flavors, smooth texture, and balanced acidity. Many appreciate its earthy undertones and subtle oak influence, while some find it lacking in complexity. The wine's approachable style and harmonious finish make it a versatile choice, though a few note it may not stand out for those seeking depth. Overall, it's a well-crafted, enjoyable wine.
