The winemaking process involves minimal intervention, allowing the natural flavors of the grapes to shine through. The resulting wine is a bold and complex Grenache with notes of dark fruit, spice, and earthy undertones.

This Shatter Grenache has an inviting ruby-red color with a bold bouquet of ripe red fruits and subtle hints of pepper and spice. On the palate, it is full-bodied, with a concentrated core of red berry flavors, complemented by silky tannins and a long, lingering finish. Excellent quality for the price, Costco's $16 deal on this cherry wine is a steal. The nose is fruity, with a nuance of strawberry, but the tannins and dryness keep things in check. The finish is soft and refreshing, with a gentle spice and leather note that adds depth. Overall, a drinkable wine that's perfect for everyday sipping.

Shatter Grenache receives praise for its rich dark fruit flavors, smooth texture, and good value, particularly at lower price points. While many appreciate its bold profile with notes of cherry, blackberry, and spice, some criticize excessive oak influence and high alcohol content (up to 15.6%) that occasionally overwhelms complexity. Reviews highlight its versatility with grilled meats, though opinions vary on balance—some find it harmonious, others note astringency or lack of nuance.
