Roots Wine Co. Gamay Noir/Côt 2021

Roots Wine Co. crafts this blend from Gamay Noir and Côt (Malbec) grapes, grown in the cool climate of Oregon's Willamette Valley. The region's mild temperatures and long growing season allow for slow ripening, enhancing the wine's fruit expression and acidity. Fermentation occurs in stainless steel tanks to preserve freshness, followed by a period of aging in neutral oak barrels, which adds subtle complexity without overpowering the fruit. This wine offers a balanced profile, showcasing bright red fruit flavors with a hint of spice, making it an approachable choice for those who appreciate vibrant, food-friendly wines.
