Pessac
A rare and ancient grape variety, likely originating from the Garonne valley. The introduction of phylloxera in the late 19th century nearly eradicated its plantings, which once covered a significant portion of the Tarn department.\nDespite its presumed extinction, some remarkably old vines were rediscovered in the late 20th century. The resulting wines are characterized by a deep, robust color and a evolved perfume featuring blackcurrant, plum, and understated layers of violet smoke and leathery tones.
