Redentore Refosco is praised for its rich, layered flavors of plum, cherry, and chocolate, with notes of leather and spice. While some find it robust and full-bodied, others describe it as lively and refreshing. The wine's smooth texture and complex aroma are consistently highlighted, making it a versatile choice for various occasions. However, a few note it as faint and lean. Overall, it's considered a great value.
The Redentore Refosco presents a deep garnet hue, indicative of its robust character. On the nose, it offers a complex bouquet of ripe blackberries, dark cherries, and a hint of dried herbs, underscored by subtle notes of leather and earth. The palate is full-bodied, with a firm tannic structure that provides a backbone to the wine's concentrated fruit core. Vibrant acidity ensures balance, while nuances of dark chocolate and a whisper of spice emerge on the lingering finish. This Refosco exemplifies the varietal's potential, offering both depth and elegance, ideal for pairing with hearty dishes.
