Pollak Meritage 2021

Pollak Meritage is praised for its full-bodied texture, rich fruit notes, and well-integrated tannins. Many enjoy its complex aromas of cherry, chocolate, and spices, while some find it slightly woody. The wine is described as opulent and silky, with a satisfying finish. However, a few mention it being slightly past its prime. Overall, it's a rewarding choice for those who appreciate rich, complex reds.

The Pollak Meritage is an exquisite wine that showcases the artistry and craftsmanship of the winemaker. This red blend is a harmonious combination of Bordeaux varietals, typically including Merlot, Cabernet Franc and Petit Verdot. The wine displays a deep ruby color, enticing aromas of black fruits, such as blackberry and black cherry, along with hints of cedar, forest floor, and vanilla. On the palate, it offers a full-bodied and velvety texture, with well-integrated tannins and a long, lingering finish. The Pollak Meritage is a wine that can be enjoyed now, but also has the potential to age gracefully, allowing its flavors to further develop and evolve over time. It pairs wonderfully with grilled meats, hearty stews, and aged cheeses. Overall, this wine exemplifies the elegance and complexity that can be found in a well-crafted Meritage blend.
