Pikes Los Companeros Shiraz - Tempranillo 2022

Pikes Los Companeros Shiraz-Tempranillo is praised for its rich, layered flavors and smooth, easy-drinking profile. While some admire its robust fruit and spice notes, others find the Tempranillo overpowering. The wine is versatile, pairing well with meats and spicy dishes, and offers a balance of elegance and fruit-forwardness. However, its reputation doesn't match top Australian reds, with some finding it unassuming.

This Pikes Los Companeros Shiraz-Tempranillo is a deep, ruby-red blend of two classic red varieties. Its intense aromas of dark berries, violets and spice are followed by a palate brimming with juicy, ripe fruit flavors and hints of dried herbs and leather. On the finish, the wine is medium-bodied and velvety-smooth, with a lingering hint of crushed pepper.
