Pepperwood Grove Pinot Noir NV

Delicate harmony of profiles is lacking in this wine. The mild sweetness of the strawberry is overpowered by a thin, unremarkable texture. The wine's dryness is off, and it would have been better suited to a middle ground. The fruit, leather, and cola tones don't coalesce into a cohesive whole. The pairing with spaghetti carbonara and brussels sprouts was disappointing, as the black pepper on the pasta failed to complement the wine's flavor profile. A second pairing, chicken vodka penne, showed promise, with the pepper and cream hints coming through more clearly. However, the fish and chips pairing was ultimately unimpressive.

Full bodied and full-bodied Pinot that offers excellent quality for its price. The linger is remarkably smooth, with a soft blend of plum and cherry accents that linger pleasantly. A worthwhile purchase, I would recommend it again.

Vibrant and crisp Pinot that pleasantly surprised me, pairing well with the rich tastes of lamb gyros.
