Displaying a vibrant ruby hue, the Mura Mura Garibaldi Grignolino d’Asti offers an aromatic bouquet of wild strawberries, red currants, and a hint of white pepper, underscored by subtle floral notes of violets. On the palate, this wine reveals a delicate structure with lively acidity and fine-grained tannins, characteristic of the Grignolino grape. The mid-palate is marked by flavors of tart cherries and a whisper of anise, leading to a refreshing, mineral-driven finish. This wine exemplifies the elegance and finesse of Piedmont's lesser-known varietals, making it a compelling choice for those seeking an authentic regional expression.

We are 50+ wine professionals (sommeliers, buyers, MW candidates) across the US, UK, France, Greece, Italy, and beyond. We review wines via blind tastings with a standardized rubric, using both 100-point and 5-star scales.

Mura Mura Garibaldi Grignolino d’Asti is crafted from the Grignolino grape, native to the Asti region in Piedmont, Italy. The vineyard benefits from a continental climate with warm days and cool nights, promoting balanced acidity and fruit expression. The wine is fermented in stainless steel tanks to preserve its fresh, vibrant character. This Grignolino is known for its light body, bright red fruit notes, and a hint of spice, making it an ideal choice for those who appreciate a nuanced and approachable red wine. It is best enjoyed young to capture its lively personality.
