Voluptuous and full-bodied wine with a deep, inky color. The tastes of blackberry, cherry, and coffee are prominent, with a mild trace of earthy undertones. The tannins are robust, but the oak whispers add a smooth, smooth texture. The aftertaste is long and satisfying, with a subtle note of incense and a lingering floral note. A wine that rewards patience, with a potential for aging for 10 years or more.

Spanish is always a amazing choice, especially when paired with oak smoke.

What the web is saying

Muga Aro is praised for its full-bodied, rich flavors of blackberry, cherry, and oak, with smooth tannins and a long finish. While some appreciate its aging potential, others note it can lose richness if left too long. The wine's complex profile includes earthy, flinty, and spicy notes, making it a favorite for pairing with robust dishes. However, a few find it overpriced or not worth repurchasing.

Voss Experts4.5

This 2014 vintage of Muga Aro is an intense and complex wine, with an intense ruby color that hints of dark fruits. On the nose, it has ripe cherry and blackberry aromas, with spicy notes of cinnamon, pepper, and anise. On the palate, it has an intense and balanced acidity, with ripe blackberry, cherry, and plum flavors, and a hint of spice and minerality. The finish is long and smooth, with lingering notes of dark chocolate and blackberry. An exquisite Rioja that will age gracefully for years to come.
