Moulin de la Roque Bandol Rouge

The Moulin de la Roque Bandol Rouge is appreciated for its fantastic quality and refinement, particularly noted in the 2014 vintage. While the review focuses on rosés, it implies a positive view of the brand's overall offerings.

This Bandol Rouge presents a deep garnet hue, indicative of its robust character. The nose is a tapestry of dark plum, blackcurrant, and a whisper of dried herbs, underscored by a subtle minerality that speaks to its terroir. On the palate, it reveals a full-bodied structure with firm tannins, seamlessly integrated with flavors of ripe black cherry and a hint of earthy complexity. The wine's vibrant acidity provides a refreshing counterpoint, leading to a long, savory finish. This is a quintessential expression of Bandol, offering both power and finesse, ideal for cellaring or pairing with hearty fare.
