Mai-Vi
Lingering tannic boldness after 10 years, Montepeloso's flagship wine retains its local dialect name, which translates to lavender, a Sangiovese blend predominantly composed of 70% Sangiovese, 20% Montepulciano, and 10% Cabernet Sauvignon; a rich mahogany color with a fragrant nose featuring dried lavender, violet, black pepper, garrigue, black cherry, blackberry, and licorice; a full-bodied wine with firm tannins and high acidity, accompanied by a licorice, India ink, and clove bouquet, with a lingering lavender and quince paste finish.
