This Mercer Estates wine is a fresh, unoaked, dry white produced from the highly aromatic and high acidity Riesling grapes, sourced from Washington State's Yakima Valley. The grapes are harvested in the cool early morning to ensure the grapes retain maximum freshness. On arrival at the winery, the grapes are pressed and fermented in stainless steel vats at cool temperatures to retain fruit purity with aim of creating a varietally expressive wine. Following the alcoholic fermentation, the wine is matured in inert vessel for a short period.
NOTES FROM VINOVOSS SOMMELIER
The wine has a pale straw, almost water white appearance with green reflections.Aromas of ripe citrus, floral, and stone fruit are immediately present on the nose of this Mercer Estates Riesling. On the palate, a pleasant acidity is balanced by rich, honeyed fruit flavors and a hint of minerality. The finish is crisp and refreshing with underlying notes of petrol and lime blossom.
