Wine Description:
Martinez Corta Cepas Antiguas is sourced from high elevation vineyards in Rioja, located in Northern Spain. In this wine, the region's flagship grape, Tempranillo plays the starring role. After hand harvesting, the grapes are crushed and the wine is fermented in temperature-controlled stainless steel vats, before being matured in American oak barrels for around 15 months. The wine spends a further 6 months in bottle before being released.

Wine Expert Note:

Martinez Corta Cepas Antiguas has a medium ruby color. On the nose, you can expect to find an array of ripe red and dark fruits, such as blackberries and plums, accompanied by hints of tobacco and sweet toasted oak. The palate is rich and full-bodied, with supple tannins and notes of vanilla and coconut coming from barrel aging, that imparts an indulgent, slightly decadent quality to the wine. The wine is ripe and bold with a moderate length finish.
