Lyrarakis Aggelis Liatiko is praised for its rich, full-bodied profile with deep ruby hues and complex aromas of black cherry, strawberry, and licorice. Many appreciate its smooth tannins and long, satisfying finish, while some note a slightly drying tannin structure. The wine's balance of fruitiness and acidity is well-regarded, though a few find it slightly warm with noticeable alcohol. Overall, it's a versatile and engaging wine.
A captivating expression of Crete's indigenous Liatiko grape, this wine presents a translucent ruby hue that belies its aromatic depth. The bouquet unfurls with layers of dried rose petals, red currant, and a whisper of Mediterranean herbs. On the palate, it is medium-bodied with a silken texture, revealing a complex interplay of sun-dried tomato, pomegranate, and subtle spice. The wine's vibrant acidity and fine-grained tannins create a harmonious structure, leading to a lingering finish with hints of dried fig and a touch of minerality. This Liatiko is a benchmark for the region, showcasing both elegance and authenticity.
