Graceful Italian wine that paired well with the evening's opulent pasta dish, boasting a deep, concentrated color and a sophisticated smell of fruity and oak-infused aromas. A medium-bodied wine with a mild spicy and oaky character, featuring notes of bold cherries, mint, black pepper, licorice, and vanilla.

Complex and exciting wine tasting unfolds on the nose, with strawberry and paraffin undertones that linger, followed by a red fruit and leather smoothness on the palate, before yielding to cedar undertones.

What the web is saying

Lungarotti Rubesco Sangiovese - Colorino is praised for its rich, fruity profile with notes of cherry, blackcurrant, and oak. It offers a medium to full-bodied experience with a smooth, velvety texture. While some appreciate its complexity and balance, others find it lacks the boldness of higher-end wines. The wine pairs well with hearty meals and is considered a good value for its price.

Voss Experts4.5

A deep ruby hue introduces this Umbrian blend, where Sangiovese's vibrant character meets the depth of Colorino. The nose is a tapestry of ripe red cherries, wild berries, and a hint of dried herbs, underscored by subtle notes of leather and anise. On the palate, it reveals a medium-bodied structure with finely grained tannins and a lively acidity that harmonizes beautifully with its fruit-forward core. The finish is persistent, echoing with nuances of dark chocolate and a whisper of earthy minerality. This wine exemplifies the elegance and balance typical of central Italian reds.
