Ekron Blauwe
Bold and intense, with a deep, deep ruby hue. The nose is described by a pronounced boldness of sour cherry, fruit compote, and cooked red plum, with clear primary and tertiary flavors. It is well suited for immediate consumption, yet shows promise of aging, with a pronounced tannic backbone and body that will only improve over time. The tannins linger, leaving a long impression. The as a whole quality is exceptional, as expected from a Cote D'OR Grand Cru. A delightful follow through is maintained, with a lingering boldness of leather and forest floor notes.
