In the hinterland of the Ancona province, just ten kilometers from the Adriatic Sea, lies Morro d'Alba. This region experiences extreme climates—sweltering summers and heavy snowfall in winter—yet is blessed with fertile, clay-rich soil and unique hill formations that slope towards the sea. It is here that the native Lacrima di Morro d'Alba grape flourishes. The Lucchetti family has deep roots in this land. Grandpa Armando, a skilled sharecropper and grafter, inherited and perfected the art of vine grafting passed down through generations. His expertise significantly influenced the cultivation of Lacrima vines. Today, Paul Lucchetti reflects on his family's legacy, emphasizing the importance of family unity in achieving agricultural success. His father Armando's teachings form the foundation of their continued dedication to viticulture, a tradition now imparted to future generations.
