Lovingston Josie's Knoll Estate Reserve 2021

Lovingston Josie's Knoll Estate Reserve is praised for its elegant and opulent style, with mellow tannins and well-integrated fruit flavors. While some appreciate its seamless balance and ability to complement hearty dishes, others find it not entirely to their taste. The wine is noted for its subtle jammy undertone and suitability with rich, spicy foods, making it a sophisticated choice for bold meals.

This wine presents a deep garnet hue, indicative of its concentrated nature. On the nose, it offers a sophisticated bouquet of blackcurrant, ripe plum, and a hint of graphite, underscored by subtle cedar and forest floor leaf nuances. The palate is robust yet elegantly structured, with velvety tannins and a vibrant acidity that provides a seamless balance. Flavors of dark cherry and cassis are interwoven with notes of mocha and a touch of savory herbs, leading to a long, mineral-driven finish. This wine exemplifies the finesse and depth characteristic of Virginia's finest terroirs.
