Lornano Chianti Classico Gran Selezione 2018

Lornano Chianti Classico Gran Selezione is appreciated for its rich, full-bodied profile with notes of blackberry, cherry, leather, and oak. While some find the nose unimpressive, others praise its complexity with layers of earth, flint, and spice. The tannins are generally well-integrated, offering a smooth finish. However, some vintages fall short of expectations for a Gran Selezione, with flavors occasionally lacking depth.

This Chianti Classico Gran Selezione showcases an alluring garnet hue, unveiling a bouquet of black cherry, dried herbs, and a whisper of violet. The palate is a masterclass in balance, with firm yet polished tannins supporting a core of ripe plum and red currant, interwoven with hints of cedar and anise. Its vibrant acidity provides a refreshing lift, while a mineral undertone adds depth and complexity. The finish is long and elegant, echoing the wine's harmonious structure. This is a quintessential expression of Chianti Classico, offering both finesse and age-worthy potential.
