Livio Felluga Terre Alte 2021

Aged to perfection in large wooden barrels, this flagship wine features the essence of Rosazzo, a blend of five distinct wines.

Quintessential Italian summer wine, this bottle is a masterclass in symmetry and nuance. The initial floral notes is a symphony of quince, kumquat, and nectarine, with a soft note of white peach and apricot that unfolds beautifully over time. As the hour passes, the wine softens and deepens, revealing a polished creaminess that precisely complements the fruit. The light layers of white pepper and coriander add richness and complexity, during the stone minerals provide a light minerality. The brightness is tight and well-balanced, allowing the fruit to shine without overpowering it. Overall, this is a truly amazing wine that is sure to please even the most discerning palates.

I thoroughly appreciated this wine at the same time enjoying a leisurely afternoon on a rooftop overlooking the Duomo, the wine's medium straw cast and viscosity were evident, its aromatic profile unveiling a well blended balance of apples, lemon, and melon. The wine's clean brightness and medium to high crispness provided a bright quality, in contrast its long trail left a pleasant aftertaste.
