Fraidk
Bright change from the usual vintage focus, Faugeres 2018 showed a lighter, fruitier profile than previous vintages. The winemaking tradition of Barral, meanwhile traditional, yielded a lively wine that benefited from aeration. As the hours passed, the wine's structure and dimension improved.
Emilda
Elegant and polished wine with a soft character of cigar box, gradually yielding to a nuanced and earthy profile that showcases a balanced balance of structured and mellow elements.
Simay
Bright and crisp wine with a dry mouth, a nuanced nuance of violet and pepper, and a balanced level of acidity. The tail is clean and well-balanced, with a touch of dryness that lingers.

Leon Barral Faugères is praised for its rich, full-bodied profile with complex aromas of dark fruit, spices, and earthy undertones. While some find it vibrant and well-structured, others note a rustic charm. The wine's tannins are generally well-integrated, providing a smooth finish. Its aging potential is highlighted, though a few reviews mention a high price for the quality offered.
This Leon Barral Faugères is a delightful blend of Grenache and Syrah, grown in the well-drained soils of the Languedoc region of France. The nose offers up refreshing aromas of red raspberry, cherry and a touch of sweet spice. On the palate, the wine is medium-bodied with bright acidity and a soft, velvety texture. Flavors of red cherry, cranberry, and a hint of black pepper persist through the finish. This is a perfect wine to enjoy on its own or with light foods such as salads, cold cuts, and cheese.
