Aridjen
Coastal region in Chile's Colchagua Valley, this Merlot offers a rich, full-bodied profile with a lively personality. The nose is defined by a balanced blend of earthy notes, ripe fruit, and elegant herbal undertones, but the profile is marked by a polished texture, juicy flavors, and a bracing finish.
Jinji
Well-balanced and lively wine with a fruity and semi-dry character, accompanied by a bracing finish.

I'm not too fond of Merlot, but this one was a pleasant surprise. The notes of blackberry, vanilla, and earthy nuances were a delightful surprise.

La Playa Estate Series Merlot is appreciated for its rich, full-bodied profile and lively personality, with flavors of ripe fruit, earthy notes, and herbal undertones. While some enjoy its balanced blend and bracing finish, others find it subtle and understated. The wine's use of French oak adds complexity, and it is often described as warm and comforting, suitable for mulled wine.
The La Playa Estate Series Merlot opens with an inviting bouquet of ripe berry aromas, featuring lush notes of blackberry and plum intertwined with hints of sweet cocoa and a subtle herbal undertone. On the palate, it reveals a well-rounded structure with soft tannins that impart a supple mouthfeel. The fruit-forward profile is well balanced by gentle acidity, allowing flavors of cherries and sweet plums to shine through. These fruit flavors are complemented by touches of vanilla on the broad, soft finish.
