WINE DESCRIPTION
Koehler-Ruprecht Kallstadter Steinacker Riesling Kabinett is an elegant, medium sweet wine hailing from the Pfalz region of Germany. The grapes are sourced specifically from the Kallstadter Steinacker. This historic 750-year-old vineyard which translates as "stony acre" is known for producing both Pinot varieties and Riesling. All wines are fermented using natural yeasts and aged entirely in large, neutral casks known as stück (1200L) and halbstück (600L). The fermentation is halted prematurely to retain sweetness which balances the racy acidity typical of Riesling grown in this marginal climate.

The Koehler-Ruprecht Kallstadter Steinacker Riesling Kabinett is a wine of great finesse and elegance.The appearance reveals a pale straw wine with a water-white rim. On the nose, it offers aromatic notes of ripe peach, green apple, and citrus zest complemented by delicate floral undertones, reminiscent of acacia, lime blossom and honeysuckle. The palate is light, displaying a perfect balance between sweetness and the racy, mouthwatering acidity. Flavors of juicy apricot, tangy green apples, and zesty lemon unfold on the palate, leaving a long and satisfying finish.
