WINE DESCRIPTION
The Karthäuserhof is a magical place, not just because of its idyllic location. As the eighth oldest winery in the world, it has been the cradle of world-famous Rieslings for centuries. Founded in 1335 by Carthusian monks, who received the estate as a gift from Elector Baldwin of Luxembourg, it was operated as a winery until secularization. Since 1811, the Karthäuserhof has been owned by the same family, now in its seventh generation.
