A voluptuous and full-bodied Syrah with a solid texture, bringing a complex and layered experience. The fruit-forward profile is cohesive by the integration of inky fruit, oak, and leather notes, and yet gentle traces of blueberry, stone, and pepper add body and nuance.

What the web is saying

Jean Baptiste Souillard Syrah is praised for its bold, savory flavors, including cured meats and freshly baked bread. It offers a complex, full-bodied experience with inky fruit, oak, leather, and subtle spice notes. While some appreciate its rich, earthy texture, others find it slightly intense. The wine is noted for its balance and nuanced pepper and blueberry undertones.

Voss Experts4.5

This Syrah presents a deep garnet hue, indicative of its concentration and depth. The nose is a symphony of blackcurrant, cracked black pepper, and violet, underscored by a subtle hint of smoked meat, showcasing the varietal's Rhône heritage. On the palate, it is full-bodied with a robust structure, where fine-grained tannins and vibrant acidity provide a harmonious balance. The mid-palate reveals layers of dark chocolate and olive tapenade, leading to a long, mineral-driven finish. This wine exemplifies the elegance and complexity of Northern Rhône Syrah, making it a compelling choice for connoisseurs.
