Hubert Lamy Clos des Hâtes Santenay is praised for its well-balanced and elegant profile, with flavors of cherry, raspberry, and floral notes. Some find it rich and full-bodied with a smooth finish, while others note a lack of complexity and tanginess. The wine pairs well with meats and seafood, and its aging potential is noted. A few reviews mention an acidic or watery taste, but overall, it is well-regarded.
This Hubert Lamy Clos des Hâtes Santenay shows a deep crimson color, with shades of purple and garnet. An enticing nose reveals aromas of blackberry and plum jam, with notes of graphite, licorice, and a hint of toast. On the palate, the tannins are mellow and smooth, with a juicy acidity and flavors of blackberry, blueberry, and a hint of spice. The finish is long and persistent, with a pleasant mineral character. Overall, it is a very enjoyable and balanced wine with great complexity.
