WINE DESCRIPTION
Hornillos Ballesteros Mibal is made from vines that have been biodynamically and dry farmed grown at high elevation. Tinta del Pais grapes, the local clone of Tempranillo, are hand harvest, destemmed and undergo fermentation in conical-shaped stainless steel fermenters. After post-fermentation maceration the wine is racked into tank to rest on lees for 3-6 months prior to bottling adding weight and texture to the final wine without contributing oak spices.

Hornillos Ballesteros Mibal explodes with ripe ripe blackberries, dark cherries, and plums, accompanied by hints of vanilla and spice.The wine is rich, full-bodied and broad-shouldered, with muscular tannins and a well-integrated acidity.
The flavors of this wine are dominated by dark fruits, such as blackberries and plums, with additional notes of tobacco, leather, and smoke. There are additional notes of dried herbs and spice that add another layer of depth to the ripe dark fruit.
