WINE DESCRIPTION
Hexamer Riesling trocken is a dry Riesling from the Pfalz region, located in the west of Germany on the French border. The Pfalz is often seen as an extension of Alsace, given the Vosges Mountains form part of the Haardt Mountains and share similar climates and geology. This wine is a blend of two sites coming from Altenberg and Marbach, both planted on sand and loamy soils. Harald Hexamer vinifies this wine in stainless steel vats, with a short period of maturation on fine lees prior to bottling to create a pure expression of Riesling.
