WINE DESCRIPTION

Hervé Villemade Sauvignon is produced by a family-owned estate located in Cour-Cheverny, in France's Loire Valley. Hervé took over from his father in 1995, after studying viticulture and winemaking. The wines are made organically and naturally, with a focus on minimal intervention in the winery. The grapes are manually harvested, before being pressed and fermented in stainless steel tanks and concrete vats. The maturation takes place in stainless steel and fibreglass tanks on the lees (decomposing yeast).

Hervé Villemade Sauvignon is complex and restrained offering restrained aromas of citrus fruits, such as grapefruit and lemon, along with hints of stone fruits like peach and white nectarine.These fruity notes are complemented by subtle herbal undertones, including freshly cut grass and a touch of green bell pepper. The palate of this wine is crisp and dry, with a lively acidity that adds a zesty and invigorating character. The citrus and stone fruit flavors continue to shine, accompanied by a pleasant minerality that adds depth and complexity. The wine has a medium body and a lean, angular profile making it highly refreshing.
