WINE DESCRIPTION
Frères Couillaud Bernier Chardonnay is an unoaked, refreshing white wine hailing from France's Loire Valley. This Chardonnay is produced by the Couillaud Family. The vines are planted on schist soils near the Atlantic Ocean next to the mouth of the Loire River which helps moderate temperatures throughout the growing season. Grapes are harvested, sorted and gently pressed. Vinification takes place in stainless steel vats to retain vibrancy of fruit. The wine is aged on its lees (dead yeast) until bottling to add weight and texture.

Frères Couillaud Bernier Chardonnay reveals a pale straw color in the glass.The nose of this Chardonnay offers aromas of tart citrus and orchard fruits, such as lemon, grapefruit complemented by hints of apple and pear. The palate is lean and angular, with a good balance between the fruit flavors and crisp acidity. It has a medium body, with a sleek and lightly creamy texture from lees aging. The wine is moderate in length, with the orchard and citrus peel notes re-emerging on the finish.
