Ripe and succulent fruit, impeccably augmented by the mild yet pungent flavor of black pepper, creating a graceful and harmonious taste experience.

Froment

Deep and decadent wine with a deep, bold colour. The aromas are intense and multifaceted, with a mix of spicy, peppery, fruity, and slightly sweet notes. The crispness is dry, the tannins are high, and the alcohol is medium. The flavours are pronounced, with a full-bodied feel and a long, lingering finish.

I preferred the Truchard over the Chateau.

What the web is saying

This Syrah receives praise for its balanced structure, rich fruit flavors (black cherry, plum), and peppery spice notes. While many appreciate its smooth finish and elegant complexity, some find lighter vintages underwhelming or note occasional overpowering aromas. It pairs well with hearty dishes, though opinions vary on body weight across different vintages.

Francois Villard Syrah L'Appel des Sereines is a remarkable wine with a robust bouquet of ripe blackberries and mulberries, followed by toasty aromas and hints of mint. On the palate, it showcases expressive fruitiness, a sinewy structure, and a solid core, culminating in a tart freshness and a peppery finish. It boasts a wealth of character with a moderate alcohol content.
