Ferraton Père & Fils Cornas Les Grands Muriers 2021

Ferraton's Cornas Les Grands Muriers receives praise for its rich black fruit flavors, smooth tannins, and balanced structure, often with notes of oak and earthy undertones. While many appreciate its full-bodied profile and aging potential, some find the tannins occasionally harsh or complexity lacking. Reviews suggest it benefits from aeration or cellaring, offering a satisfying experience for Syrah enthusiasts despite occasional inconsistencies.

A profound expression of Northern Rhône Syrah, this wine presents a deep, inky hue with a bouquet of blackcurrant, crushed violets, and a hint of black pepper, underscored by a subtle mineral edge. The palate is robust yet refined, showcasing a harmonious interplay of ripe blackberry, licorice, and savory olive tapenade. Firm tannins and vibrant acidity provide a solid framework, leading to a long, resonant finish with whispers of dark chocolate and earthy nuances. This Cornas exemplifies the region's potential for producing structured, age-worthy wines that reward patience and discernment.
