Fattoria le Pupille Poggio Valente 2022

Well-balanced blend of tobacco and leather, with a light nuance of cherry fruit. A decent bargain for the price.

Youthful and vibrant wine with a fresh and inviting bouquet, featuring layers of cooked fruits, cinnamon, and marzipan. The wine exhibits a medium to full-bodied texture, with a dense and well-integrated structure. The impression is highlighted by a tannic and unripe quality, and yet the wood is expertly integrated. The wine displays a unified balance, with a subtle nuance of tanginess and a masculine flavor profile, thanks to its young age. The finale is long and fruity, with a good cohesion of bracing quality and tannins. The wine has amazing potential, but is still in its early stages of development. It is recommended to drink between 2017 and 2024. The current rating is 89-92 points. The wine will continue to mature and improve over time.

Rich, full-bodied wine with a deep, supple texture, displaying a rich array of aromas, consisting of cherries, plums, caramel, leather, and herbaceous notes, with a gentle mineral undertone. The tannins are firm, yet well-integrated, providing a captivating length and balance, but a sweetish trail lingers. A truly superb wine, rivaling some of the finest Brunellos.
