Our initial impressions confirmed, but perhaps I'm biased towards GSM. 3.7/3.8.

Detailed and thought provoking combination of flavors and textures, this wine is a true standout. The blackberry and tobacco touches are expertly balanced, during the leather and pepper add a dimension and warmth that elevates the broadly experience.

Deep and polished wine with a deep, bold fruit profile, featuring black cherry and black currant tones that linger on the palate.

What the web is saying

Fat Bastard Les Freres Bastards Rouge is a rich, full-bodied wine with a velvety texture. It features a complex blend of blackberry, black cherry, and forest floor flavors, with hints of oak and pepper. While some appreciate its bold fruit profile and affordability, others find its high acidity less appealing. Overall, it offers a balanced and enjoyable experience, especially for fans of GSM blends.

Voss Experts4.3

This robust red blend presents a deep garnet hue, offering a bouquet of ripe blackberries, plums, and a whisper of black pepper. On the palate, it reveals a full-bodied structure with velvety tannins and a core of dark fruit flavors, interwoven with subtle notes of forest floor and mocha. The wine's balanced acidity provides a refreshing lift, while a hint of vanilla from oak aging adds complexity. The finish is long and satisfying, marked by a touch of spice. This wine exemplifies a modern, approachable style, ideal for pairing with hearty dishes or enjoyed on its own.
