Allow this wine to mature for a while, and the initial tanginess will yield to a balanced blend of ripe Red berries and a balanced level of tannins.

What the web is saying

Famille Perrin Côtes du Rhône Villages Rouge is praised for its rich, full-bodied profile with notes of red and dark fruits, spice, and a smooth finish. While many appreciate its balance and complexity, some find it lacking in distinction or overly dry. The wine's versatility makes it suitable for various dishes, though opinions on its value vary.

Voss Experts3.8

This Famille Perrin Côtes du Rhône Villages Rouge is a delightful and inviting red wine, with a deep garnet color in the glass. On the nose, aromas of ripe blackberry, plum, and hints of spice come together to create a complex bouquet. On the palate, this wine is medium-bodied and full of flavor, with a smooth tannic structure and a long finish. Notes of ripe blackberry, cherry, and sweet spice linger on the finish. This is an enjoyable, balanced, and well-crafted red wine that is perfect for any occasion.
