Pleasant, understated wine that won me over. whereas not notably complex, it was a comforting surprise. As it opened up, a decadent fruit profile emerged, with notes of cherry and dried blackberry, alongside a soft dryness reminding of leather and tobacco. The color was profound and inviting. A decent pairing with some blackened fish I prepared.
