Pamh Halwe
The nose was marked by by a rich, nutty aroma, with a mild undertone of damp earthiness. The flavor was a different story, with a sweet and indulgent body that was both comforting and overwhelming. The suggestions on the tasting were a jumbled mix of bruised apples, dates, figs, and toffee, which added to the broadly sweetness. The ending was long and satisfying, with a lingering sweetness that left a agreeable aftertaste.
K&B Hawkes
Rich, plush mahogany tint with a deep, yet transparent color that belies its inner richness. The color is further enhanced by the gentle warmth of molasses, jaggery, and vanilla, which mingle in a seamless balance. However, the taste is somewhat lacking, with a thinner texture that fails to fully engage. The finish, on the other hand, is a slow and rewarding fade, leaving a persistent impression. Overall, a drink that is neither specifically strong nor weak, but rather a nuanced and refined experience.
Giovami
Decadent and well-rounded Sherry with a concentrated amber hue, featuring a voluptuous and silky texture. The nose is marked by by touches of dried fruits, consisting of walnut, raisin, and dried dates, which are further enhanced by the feel of honey, chocolate, and toffee. The taste is well-balanced, with a delightful interplay between nuances of marzipan, baked apples, and pepper, all of which are expertly integrated by a bracing acidity. The linger is long and satisfying, with a gratifying savory note that continues on the palate. A truly top notch wine.
