Graylene
Truly remarkable experience, with a intense and sophisticated character that has exceeded my expectations. The nose is a masterful blend of warm, spicy, and herbal notes, set against a backdrop of deep, velvety darkness. The impression is a masterful equilibrium of smooth, delicate layers and a subtle, nuanced structure, with a strength of dark fruit, musk, and spice that is simply remarkable. A truly special wine, and a testament to the skill of the winemaker. Merci, Vincent.
Daya
Revered bottle cherished by my father-in-law, presented with humility. 08 appears to be a more temperate vintage, its lightness a pleasant surprise, as it is overflowing with plum, crushed pepper, and a rich, earthy undertone. The structure is impeccable, with a elegant stability of flavors, and a gentle nuance that elevates the wine to extraordinary heights. A elegant symmetry of stone, salt, black currant, and a note of mushroom adds substance and complexity. The tartness is outstanding, and its presence is a testament to the wine's remarkable quality. A contenting finish, surprisingly warm and long, leaves a lingering impression.

E. Guigal Côte-Rôtie La Turque is celebrated for its rich, complex flavors of dark fruit, spice, and earthy notes, with a velvety texture and well-integrated tannins. While some praise its balance and aging potential, others note occasional inconsistencies in storage affecting quality. The wine's aromatic profile often includes floral, pepper, and oak nuances, making it a sophisticated choice for enthusiasts.
E. Guigal Côte-Rôtie La Turque is a highly esteemed wine from the Côte-Rôtie appellation in the northern Rhône Valley of France. This wine is produced by the renowned winery E. Guigal, known for their exceptional quality and craftsmanship. La Turque is a single-vineyard wine that showcases the unique terroir of Côte-Rôtie. It is predominantly made from the Syrah grape variety, with a small percentage of Viognier blended in. The addition of Viognier adds a touch of elegance and aromatic complexity to the wine. In terms of appearance, E. Guigal Côte-Rôtie La Turque displays a deep, dark ruby color, indicating its concentration and maturity. On the nose, it offers a captivating bouquet of black fruits, such as blackberry and black cherry, accompanied by notes of violet, flintd meat, and spices. These aromas are further enhanced by the subtle floral and herbal nuances contributed by the Viognier. On the palate, La Turque exhibits a full-bodied and velvety texture, with well-integrated tannins that provide structure and balance. The flavors mirror the aromas, with an emphasis on dark fruits, complemented by hints of black pepper, licorice, and roasted coffee. The wine's impressive depth and complexity unfold gradually, leading to a long and satisfying finish. E. Guigal Côte-Rôtie La Turque is a wine that can be enjoyed now, but it also has excellent aging potential. With proper cellaring, it will continue to evolve and develop additional layers of complexity over the years.
