WINE DESCRIPTION
The uniqueness of this wine lies primarily in the origin of its grapes, sourced from vineyards around Bechtheim, distinguished by their diverse soil types. Particularly, the Geyersberg single vineyard forms the foundation for a Riesling with pronounced character. To enhance quality, only two grape clusters per vine are left, concentrating the vine's energy. During selective hand harvesting, grapes are gently placed in small containers and softly pressed at Dreissigacker Winery. The gentle approach continues during pressing, with the mash pressed in stages over several hours. The Bechtheim Riesling Ortswein showcases the meticulous care taken in both vineyard and cellar, resulting in a harmonious Riesling with extended lees aging.
