Domaine Monier Perréol Châtelet Saint-Joseph 2022

Domaine Monier Perréol Châtelet Saint-Joseph is praised for its rich, full-bodied character with notes of blackcurrant, blackberry, and black pepper. While some find it smooth and supple, others appreciate its textured, biodynamic approach. The wine's earthy, leathery undertones and nuanced aromas make it a delightful experience, although its brightness is low. It's well-suited for pairing with hearty dishes like lamb.

In the glass, the Châtelet Saint-Joseph displays a deep ruby color, indicating its youth and vibrancy. On the nose, it offers an enticing bouquet of ripe blackberries, dark cherries, and hints of black pepper. On the palate, this Saint-Joseph reveals a medium body with a velvety texture. The flavors of black fruits continue to dominate, accompanied by well-integrated tannins that provide structure and balance. There is a pleasant acidity that adds freshness and contributes to a long, lingering finish. The Domaine Monier Perréol Châtelet Saint-Joseph is a wine that can be enjoyed now, but it also has the potential to age gracefully over 10 years. It pairs wonderfully with grilled meats, roasted game, or hearty stews.
