WINE DESCRIPTION
Domaine Delaporte Sancerre Blanc is a classic white wine from Loire Valley's most known white wine appellation produced by the renowned Delaporte family. The vineyards are situated on the hillsides overlooking the Loire River, facing southeast. The soil here is rich in limestone and flint, imparting a unique minerality to the wine. The vines are ca. 35 years old on average, adding some concentration to the overall structure of the wine. The winemaking process involves gentle pressing and fermentation in stainless steel tanks to preserve the delicate aromas and flavors of the Sauvignon Blanc grape, as well as maturation on the lees for several months. The resulting wine is crisp, refreshing, and elegant, but with a certain depth and a hint of creaminess in texture.
