Balanced nose of earthy notes, balanced by the sweetness of cherry and the warmth of EtOH spice. The tongue is well-balanced, with a refreshing freshness that cuts through the richness. The Rhône region's signature garrigue and barnyard suggestions are nicely integrated, while the intense red fruit adds depth and complexity. The EtOH level is judicious, allowing the wine to feel fresh and lively. A excellent affordability for the price, this wine is a pleasure to drink.

Voss Experts4.5

Exhibiting a deep garnet hue, this Côtes du Rhône from Domaine de Cristia reveals a bouquet of ripe black cherry and plum, interwoven with hints of garrigue and subtle spice. On the palate, it offers a harmonious blend of velvety tannins and vibrant acidity, underscoring its medium-bodied structure. The wine's complexity is further enhanced by notes of dark chocolate and a whisper of dried herbs, culminating in a lingering, mineral-driven finish. This wine exemplifies the quintessential Rhône character, offering both immediate appeal and potential for short-term cellaring.
