Dark Horse Pinot Grigio 2023

Dark Horse Pinot Grigio offers a bright, fruity profile with notes of apple, pear, and citrus. While praised for its affordability and refreshing qualities, some find the finish abrupt and bitter. It's a versatile choice for casual occasions, though opinions vary on its complexity and sweetness. Overall, it provides good value for its price, appealing to those seeking a light, easy-drinking wine.

Displaying a pale straw hue, the Dark Horse Pinot Grigio opens with a bouquet of ripe pear, white peach, and a hint of citrus blossom, underscored by subtle mineral notes. On the palate, it reveals a crisp and refreshing acidity that harmonizes with flavors of green apple and lemon zest, offering a clean, linear profile. The wine's light body and delicate texture are complemented by a whisper of almond on the finish. This Pinot Grigio exemplifies the approachable, fruit-forward style typical of California, making it an ideal aperitif or companion to light seafood dishes.
